Exposure & Opportunity

One of the great things about the program and the city is that you get chances to see things you never thought you would. Last week, I was presented with tickets to see Kazuyo Sejima – partner at SANAA, one of the most influential female architects in the world, and winner of the 2010 Pritzker Prize. Her talk was incredibly inspiring, and really made me think about what it means to be an architect. In a few weeks I am going to attend another lecture at The Architectural League of New York by Craig Dykers and Elaine Molinar, partners at one of the most interesting firms in the world. Ultimately, these experiences teach us a lot about our given professions, and we wouldn’t be exposed to them if it weren’t for the program and the city. (Also, sorry for the terrible photo)IMG_7237
