MET Opera Backstage Tour

This past (very rainy) Sunday, the NYAP interns enjoyed a special backstage tour of the Metropolitan Opera House! On the tour, we learned about the architecture and building of the opera house, the history of the opera, and some of the famous stars that got their start here in New York. In addition, we got sneak peaks of the seamstress/tailor rooms, the scene shops, rehearsal spaces, and dressing rooms. We all had a blast getting a glimpse at how this famous theater is run today; many thanks to the New York Arts Program for getting the tickets for us!
